Our surgical instruments attracted much attention, with surgeons taking a particular interest in The Sheffield Shoulder & Elbow revision Kit which is the first of its kind. Our range of Kolbel Retractors were also very popular on the day, and these can now be found on our website.

Platts & Nisbett will be exhibiting at The Fourth Sheffield Elbow Course on the 6th & 7th October 2011. The event, which takes place at the Northern General Hospital, brings together a group of eminent upper limb surgeons who are all experts in their field.

Platts & Nisbett is to be featured on The Discovery Channel’s “How It’s Made” programme. Our segment will be broadcast in the UK on 27th June 2011, at 8.30pm. The five minute feature is the result of twelve hours filming which took place in 2009, and shows our surgical instruments being made by hand.

Platts & Nisbett has been chosen by Azellon to exclusively manufacture a new Cell Bandage Introducer to be used in their pioneering meniscal repair technology. This procedure aims to save thousands of patients from the type of knee surgery that currently leads to premature osteoarthritis.
