This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manual Machinist / General Operator to become part of our busy team working in a traditional engineering workshop.

Working for a long established and family owned Surgical Instrument Manufacturer in Sheffield, the successful candidate will work directly with the Production Foremen and Shop Floor Staff.

Manual Machining of British Made Stainless Steel Surgical Instruments, using Traditional Milling Machines such as Cincinnati Horizontal Millers, Bridgeport Milling Machines, CNC Bridgeport, CNC Lathes etc.

Must have previous experience in similar roles, however additional on the job training will be provided.

There may be some shared light driving duties involved (local collections and deliveries), so a Full UK Driving Licence is desirable but not essential.

Main Duties Include:

Manual Machining of Stainless Steel Surgical Instruments using Traditional Milling Machines, CNC Lathes etc.

General machining of surgical instruments, and producing component parts (such as screws, handles etc).

Working to Patterns and Drawings issued to tight dimensional tolerances.

Maintenance of Machinery.

Keeping the work area tidy in line with Health & Safety Standards
