This month, Platts & Nisbett is celebrating 35 Years of British Manufacturing!

Since our formation in 1977, we have become renowned for our premium range of surgical instruments which are all produced by hand.

Platts & Nisbett was founded by Kenneth Platts and Robert Nisbett in 1977. Both began life in the trade as instrument makers at Joseph Gray Surgical, and later became foremen at Downs Surgical in Sheffield, England.

The formation of Platts & Nisbett saw a wealth of engineering talent and experience come together to offer the finest range of surgical instruments available in the UK. To this day we continue to apprentice train our own workforce, to ensure a consistent quality is guaranteed for years to come.
